This applications tracks what programs and DAs have been run on your Mac.
Why...
If you have multiple users, you can see what applications they have used. If your children use the Mac, you can monitor what they do. If you are just paranoid - this program is for you.
What you need...
A Mac running System 7.
How to use...
Put Detective 1.4 into its own folder. Put an alias of Detective 1.4 into the “Startup Items” folder in your System folder. Any text editor can read the output file “Processes” use Monaco 9pt for best results. The file will be created in the same folder as Detective. An application such as Taskit can make Detective quit. I prefer QuicKeys 2 Apple® Events extension (send Apple® Event quit).
What it is...
Detective is a FBA, (a new term to remember) Faceless Background Application. FBAs are a coming thing, they can do many of the functions of INITs without the conflicts that INITs sometimes cause.
